Five Great Books I enjoyed reading

Here are a few great books I enjoyed reading recently

1. The Godfather – Mario Puzo
I love the movie trilogy but I love the book a lot more. Its so beautifully written, describing each incident and each character in so much detail that you can actually visualize the story unfolding before your eyes.

2. The Fountainhead – Ayn Rand
Though I find Howard Roark’s(Fountainhead’s protagonist) behavior and what he does highly over the top and undoable in the real world, I did find this book interesting because it introduced me to the concept of objectivism.

3. Don’t Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight – Rujuta Diwekar
Contrary to what the title sounds like, this self-help book does not focus on losing weight. Its actually about eating healthy and losing excess weight in the process.Absolutely love this one.

4. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother – Amy Chua
Quite entertaining. Not to be read as a ‘how-to’ parenting book.Just an amusing memoir.

5. 2 States – The Story of my marriage – Chetan Bhagat
Light read. Actually hilarious. I was laughing through most of the book. The cultural differences between north and south Indians has been hilariously depicted. I’m not a Chetan Bhagat fan, this is the only book of his I find worth reading.
