5 Inspirational Quotes

Many a times when I feel discouraged or low on motivation, I turn to reading some inspirational quotes. They definitely help me feel better,be motivated and inspired. I keep a folder on my desktop and in my phone where I have a collection of my favorite quotes which I go through at least once a day.

Here I am sharing a few of them

1)Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live. – Jim Rohn, Author

Most of tend to neglect our body a lot. How many times have we brushed aside a nagging pain or pushed our bodies to work in spite of not really being able to do so? Well, this one gives me a reminder to respect my body more and take care of myself.

2) Don’t waste your time with explanations, people only hear what they want to hear – Paulo Coelho

Feel upset that no matter how much you try, some people misunderstand everything you say or do ? This one reminds me that sometimes they don’t want to understand. And we can’t and don’t need to do anything about it.

3) It’s the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it – Aristotle

A thought is like a conversation that we have with ourselves. And we don’t really have to believe everything we are thinking.

4) Miracles start to happen when you give as much energy to your dreams as you do to your fears -Richard Wilkins, Television Presenter

This one is my favorite of the lot. Whenever I find myself worrying a lot about any situation, this one puts me back on track and helps me be more confident and positive.

5) Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best. – Henry Van Dyke

Many a times we feel discouraged from doing something because we think we are not good enough at it. Even when I wanted to start this blog, I used to feel intimidated when I saw so many amazing blogs and used to wonder whether I should really go ahead with it. Then I realized it’s okay go ahead with whatever abilities I have. It’s not always about being better than others.

What are the quotes that inspire you?

These are lovely choices. I’m a fan of quotes too. They help me when my mood is a little yucky. ^_^

I like the Aristotle quote especially now because it seems that people are hypersensitive over everything and not willing to debate. Either that or they’ve misunderstood what debating or “entertaining” a thought is.

Very good words! I write positive thoughts on a big paper and stick it to the wall in sitting room so I can see it and read it again and again. Sometimes my kids laugh at me but it really helps. One of my friends always tells me: “When you are stressed, read your own blog.” And he is right I love spreading positive thoughts, so I should also keep reading them… I really enjoy reading your articles 🙂

Thank you 🙂 That’s a great idea, better than writing in a book or something, so you don’t have to remember to open your book and read it. By the way, it never occurred to me to read my own blog. I’m definitely going to do that. And I’m really glad you enjoy reading my blog, it’s so encouraging..Xx
